1. What you get

KUMA Dashboard is a screen for Bitfocus Companion variables (timers, presenter and switcher status, GFX and playback information) for macOS and Windows, with a web view for browsers, iPad and the Android app. It is included with your KUMA Timer licence. You activate it with the same licence code as KUMA Timer.

2. Seats

• Dashboard has its own seat on your KUMA Timer licence: one Dashboard seat for every KUMA Timer seat (a licence for 20 computers gives 20 Dashboard seats).
• A Dashboard seat belongs to one computer. You can move it: remove it on the old computer (System → Licence → Give this seat back), then activate the new one.
• KUMA Timer and Dashboard can run on the same computer or on different ones, even on separate networks. The seats are counted separately.
• Without a free seat, Dashboard does not start serving a screen. Activation needs an internet connection once; after that it keeps working offline for 14 days (90 days on a licence with several seats) and checks in again when it can.

3. What you may do

• Use Dashboard for any purpose, including commercial events, concerts, conferences, broadcasts and rental or client work.
• Install it on as many computers as your licence has seats.
• Show the Dashboard screen to any number of people (browsers, tablets, the app) from a computer that has a seat.
• Keep and share the dashboards you build. The files you save are yours.

4. What you may not do

• Give, sell, rent or publish the installer or your licence code, or use one seat on several computers.
• Take the app apart, copy its code or remove its notices, except where the law gives you that right.
• Use it in a way that breaks the law.

5. Updates

Dashboard updates itself. While your KUMA Timer licence is active you are entitled to all future updates of Dashboard at no extra cost for as long as PL TECH Ltd distributes them. We do not guarantee a release schedule or a feature set, and we may discontinue the product with reasonable notice.

6. Your data

Dashboard sends the licence server your licence code and a hashed machine identifier (not your name, files, dashboards or Companion data) to check that a seat is free. It has no analytics. Dashboards are stored on your computer. See also our Privacy Policy.

7. As is, no warranty, no liability

KUMA Dashboard is provided "AS IS", without any warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, available at a given time or suitable for any purpose, and we do not guarantee the timing, accuracy or delivery of anything it shows or sends.

You use Dashboard entirely at your own risk and responsibility. You are responsible for the equipment and software it is connected to (including Bitfocus Companion and anything Companion controls), for who can reach it (passwords, networks and any remote access you switch on) and for every action pressed with your credentials. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PL TECH Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, interruption or cost of any kind arising from the use of, or the inability to use, Dashboard. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Relay (remote access), if you use it

Relay is an optional feature of KUMA Dashboard that lets people with a pairing code and a password see your dashboard from outside your network, and, only if you tick Allow control, press the buttons you placed. It is off until you turn it on, and Dashboard shows you seven warnings that you accept each time. By using it you accept the following:

• Anyone who has the pairing code and the password can see your screens, and with control on, press your buttons. Keep the password private and switch Relay off when you do not need it. You are responsible for who gets access.
• Relay runs on one server with no backup. It can fail, be slow or show old values at any time. There is no guarantee of availability or timing. Do not make it critical to a show and never rely on it for safety or where late or missing information causes harm.
• Your dashboard is encrypted on your computer with a key made from the password; the server forwards it and cannot read it. The server does see that a connection exists and keeps technical logs (time, pairing code, request path and status, a shortened IP address) for 14 days at most. See the Privacy Policy.
• If you switch on the optional push alerts, the text of an alert travels through our relay server and Apple’s push service in readable form (not end-to-end encrypted). Keep alert texts short and not secret.
• PL TECH Ltd is not responsible for what you or others do with Dashboard or Relay, or for anything controlled through it. It is provided as is (section 7).
